I know there are some serious anatomy errors here....XDD

Here's a bit of info on PygmyGriffons, if you can brave the wall of text:

Pygmy Griffons are not, technically, griffons. True griffons have avian head/forelegs and larger wings but feline bodies. The pygmy griffon seems to have taken a completely different route - it has a rodent body and the avian part is not a one type of bird, but a curious mixture. It is unclear how the pygmy griffon has evolved in such a strange way, particularly seeing as it is now a completely impractical little creature. Roughly the size of a dormouse and incapable of flight, despite their wings and light build, the pygmy griffons are becoming increasingly rare as they fall prey to larger creatures such as Groggles and some large carnivorous plants. They are incredibly fast diggers. They lack the vast intellignence and self awarness displayed by Griffons, and their huge, complicated burrows were at first believed to be carefully 'planned' and clever structures, but further study soon revealed that these diverse labyrinths were simply the result of Pygmy Griffons becoming impatient and digging directly towards their destination instead of finding a way through the tunnels instead, and often tunnels that are dug are never used again. So many tunnels often results in cave-ins, and these certainly aren't helping pygmy griffon numbers. Mercifully, the pygmys have a wide range of things they can eat. Their small beaks, built for shearing, are perfect for taking apart the insects in their woodland habitats, whilst their sharp, clawed, dextrous 'hands' pull apart nuts and bits of fruit, making them easier to eat. In an effort to preserve Pygmy Griffon populations, they are being kept and bred as pets - however, their unfortunate habit of stealing shiny objects and burying them within horse manure makes them slightly undesirable. Again, it is unsure why they do this. The quirks of evolution never cease to amaze.

Used watercolours and coloured pencils ^^ I hope you like the pygmys!
