Pygmy griffon xmas giveaway part 1

The first two pygmies! More to come tonight!
I couldn't decide what to get my dA friends for christmas this year, so I thought I'd give you some pygmy griffons Probably not the best gift, since pygmies are rather useless, however I do hear they make a decent stew
I had a batch of baby pygmies hatch this month and I need to get them out of the house for they are eating all of my shoes!
Remember there are more pygmies to be uploaded tonight for more people, 'cause I'm about to go out for a walk with the family So thoseof you who I hinted at will probably be getting something from me, I haven't forgotten haha

This is a breed of pygmy griffon that are common as household pets as they have been bred to lose their wings (the fat little buggers couldn't fly very well anyway nyahha), and thus making them less capable escape artists. But if you want to give them wings, feel free! They are yours now to love, cuddle, genetically modify or make into doorstops!
These little dudes may be sleeping peacefully, but don't be decieved!
Since my style of painting is not very clear when it comes to markings, I'll just give you a brief description:

The top pygmy is blackish/grey with a white face. The backs of it's ears are also black, but its ear tufts are a light grey/white, and it has a black beak. Its fur has a light grey dapple to it that changes in the light. It has dark skin, so its tail and paws will be dark.

The bottom pygmy is sandy brown and has little 'freckles' all over it. It has a line of freckles on each cheek, below the eye. The backs of its ears and the tufts on its ears are dark russet/brown and it also has a black beak. It has pink skin, so it's tail and paws will be pink.


You guys get to choose the eye colour of your pygmy! Pygmy eyes are either blue, brown, black, or golden I leave you with the job of naming them, deciding their gender/personalites, and also feel free to change up the markings /colours somewhat, just not too much from the original design

This is turing out to be a long description, but heres a quick pygmy anatomy lesson :

Pygmy Griffons are different to normal griffons in that instead on having the bodies of large mammals and the heads of large birds, they have the bodies of small mammals (usually hamsters or mice) and the heads of small birds (usually pygmy owls)
Even the most well proportioned pygmies have trouble flying, and its a well known truth that the species is in fact an evolutionary disaster. The curiosity of the pygmy is often its downfall. Never point a gun at a pygmy because they will mistake it for a place of sleeping and climb inside it (or try to. Some of them are too fat). However, this does make hunting them very easy.
The make good pets, and whilst not particularly active many offices and libraries use them as paper shredders.
A pygmies usual diet ranges from seeds and nuts to large insects, depending on their size.
